I have to got to a point where I advise my family and do myself have a limit on my/your card that you are prepared to lose. I know that may sound negative but its the truth. Nowhere is safe. Its now become a risk factor. This is a shame.
What is even worse is when u contact the bank which I did last year before our Bali/Thailand trip and advised we were going away and I wanted to reduce my card to a real minimum.
Well what a hassle. Do you realise that you will have to make a whole new application if you want to increase your limit? the conditions you now enjoy may change ? Bal bal !!
Well who gives a hoot, are u going to support me for the loss that may occur ?
I have never liked banks, in fact I have never liked owing anything to anybody.
We are often forced into this method of payment today and the truth is the innocent have no darn support. We are open to exploitation. I use cash and my savings a/c at ATMS but hell there are so many first account stories I have learnt that these methods have a risk.
Summary just try and reduce yor risks by whatever means. We are all walking targets.
