As a safeguard prior to leaving for Bali, tell your bank that you are going to Bali, so they have it on record. I only use my credit card at the hotel upon vacating and only if I have not enough Rp to pay in cash. Apart from that, I dont use my credit card in Bali. I have used it at Matahari's before and it was copied. I always take cash to Bali and my credit card as an emergency only. I dont even hand over the credit card upon check-in but leave a cash deposit instead.
