Nancy there are a zillion accommodation options in Bali so rest assured, you will easly find something to suit your preferences and your budget. Hotels are great, but villa style accommodation can be the perfect option for families because it typically offers so much more living space. The advantage of a hotel is that all the services are just a [phone call away and hotels generally have an excellent choice of entertainment amenities laid on as well. Apart from that, the sheer number of other guests in the property can also add much to your entertainment. Villa stays are a completely different experience - it's a bit like staying in a holiday house. Depending on budget and choice of location, many of them are located very close to the beach and shopping precincts, they come complete with a private swimming pool, are serviced daily and have staff on hand who will come in a cook for you. The comfort levels that a villa offers can be far better than a hotel room - especially if your stay is to be a long one. I'm sure plenty of people will have all sorts of advice and personal experiences to tell you of. One person well worth seeking his opinion/advice on villas is Putu Les. For many years Les ran a highly successful travel agent in Adelaide that specialised in Bali...so if it's anything Bali, Putu Les can give you the good oil on your ideal options. CHeers - keviin
