So I thought I should make a post.
I think my twin sister has been rather polite with what she has said about the whole event, she DID NOT ruin my night it was in fact ruined by Ketut, the manager of Legends.
My sister failed to mention a number of things within her post.
I told Legends that 50 people would be there 48 turned up - 2 people were missing due to a cremation in the village and 2 Australian guests were MIA! With the kids the total went over 50 people and they were also charged for their meals which everyone was only to happy to pay.
Ketut in fact came to me first to ask for the money just before my bridal waltz which is why I sent him to speak to my sister - what an inappropriate time to ask a person for money.
They gave me a quote of 50,000 rupiah for buffet dinner but I advised them to put a bit more on so the restaurant would make a profit for the night so they charged my guests 65,000 - considering the same buffet dinner for the anniversary dinner was only 35,000
The money was never, ever an issue and my sister would have paid it but it was too late, he had already come to see me before I sent him to her.
When we advised Ketut that we were going to leave he continued to tell me more money that I owed (200,000 rupiah) which included the table decorations - it is rather funny because I paid for all the table decorations back in Australia and we took them to Bali, supplied all the Banana leaves, sand and candles. My sister and friends went up to Legends and decorated it.
Ketut asked me when I sat down with him to discuss prices for the wedding if I could get all the guests to buy a Legends shirt for 50,000 instead of the full price of 80,000 but denied it the night of the wedding when guests went to purchase a shirt.
After all of this saga I went to the bar to pay for my drink bill which came to 400,000 and it consisted of 2 bottles of water, 2 bintangs and 2 Illusions (in a glass not the container) - so work that out. If we were so tight we would have stood there and argued the point but we just wanted to get out.
It is funny because when Ketut was on the stage he presented my husband and I with two pineapple drinks along with the wedding cake and told all of my guests that they were a gift from Legends. The truth is the wedding cake came with the wedding package from Bali Weddings but the pineapple drinks I guess I paid for as stated above.
He ruined my night, not my sister.
For those of you that are saying stop having a whinge and are appalled don't bother leaving a comment, my sister was merely stating the facts if you don't like it don't read it or post. This is a forum for people to have their say.
If you think we are whinging I wonder how you would feel if this happened to you or your family.
