our past experience with KP and also the hotel (notso) grand istama rama, not that long ago was that they care little for customer relations...they both had the habit of locking you out of your room the last morning of your trip,so that you had to go ask for access to your room, in case you did a runner....very unprofessional and when approached, they simply said that the computers were down...no apology..just an arrogant attitude.(maybe they are used to the type of clients you mention)
We have just come back from Bali and stayed at the Mandira,which is probably one of the better hotels, and were amazed at the large number of Aussie boofheads staying there, as well as around Legian in general.Just loudmouthed embarrassing people who think that they have paid for a holiday so everyone else had to put up with their boorish behaviour.Unfortunately these were not young people,being in their late 40s and 50s,who should know better.
For some reason, a trip to Bali brings out the worst in some people with many of the problems that arise having been around for a long time and many hotels either cant or wont, do anything about it.
