there with you. Eventhough we have never struck this situation at our hotel, have heard it reported in many JBRS what you did was the right thing to do, I would have only waited 1 hr. I have noticed that some hotels if the chairs are not used for 1/2 hr the pool staff actually remove themselves. It would definately have had a big impact on your holiday you should feel comfortable and not suffer intimidation from anyone. I definately would notify the hotel it is there responsibility to make sure that all guests are comfortable and happy but if they are not advised they cannot act.
Sorry for your experience hopefully you will not have to endure this again.
