To your questions, Take minimum amount from australia say $50 worth so you don't have to rush to money changer, but just up from Padma is "Kodak Shop" a reliable money changer, no slieght of hand and you get printed receipt.
No need to take neurophyn, Panadol in Bali is better than ours, just relax & speak to other tourists around padma where to eat ,shop or visit.
We are at Rama Garden just up road from 8/1/08 - 27/01/08 always use Kodak & buy our panadon , Cold tablets etc,etc,etc from supermarkets in area.
