Also, we have been in Phuket in September, and the weather was a lot worse than we have found at any time in Bali.
Phuket is exposed to the Andaman sea, which is where the weather comes from in Phuket.
I guess that to be fair to both countries, we should compare Indonesia with Thailand, as opposed to Bali v's Phuket.
Both incredibly diverse and interesting places to travel in, and if we were just 3 hrs away from Thailand, as we are from Indonesia, we would probably spend more time there.
With regards to the respective people from both - people are people.
They are all nice in these places, largely because they want your business, and there's nothing wrong with that.
In Australia at the moment, plenty of people want your business and still treat you like sh*t.
There are many places that I am sure would make wonderful holiday destinations throughout the world, and all for different reasons.
Each to their own, but Bali gets the nod from us.
