We went to Phuket hoping it to be what Bali was before and only because people had said so. Did not find the Thai people that freindy, lack of english. Transport cost much more and of course its much more spread out than Bali.
Everything is more expensive. Yes Beaches are cleaner, but coming from Perth I dont go there for the beach.
So back to paradise for us where we know we are welcome. We rarely got that feeling in Phuket and decided if we ever went back again it would be to stay at the Le Meridian.
