Day2 & 3
We woke early on the saturday, probably due to the fact that our body clocks were still on Sydney time. After showering we went to the hotel breakfast.
A wonderful array of all sorts of breakfast treats awaited us. So we took our time (like we do with everything) and breakfast went on for about an hour.
We finally talked about all the things we wanted to do on this holiday.
Today we just hung around our hotel and hotel room, swimming, snacking, drinking & smooching. We had a lovely seafood meal and more drinks. We read our books on lounges around the pool ( no pool hogs here!). I think we had about 3 or 4 different meals/snacks during the day. A lovely walk on the beach and then returned to our room for a "nap". Waking up more tired than when we first went to sleep. We are both relaxing to the max. Another good nights sleep brought on through exhaustion. We happily continue snoozing like puppys.
Day 3
We decided that Today we would head over to the Kuta side and find some of the much touted places on the BTF. So we did the Stadium, Matahari, Discovery Plaza thing, and then we went through the Kuta Art Markets onto the beach. Walked along the paved beach walkway for a bit until we were sure we in the region of Poppies 2. We ducked up Poppies 2, where the first 5 of many handbags were purchased (for Stella and me). We had a general nose about the lane and stopped for drinks a couple of times. We found a place called the Rainbow Bar. Martin thought this was one of the places that might be responsible for the Kuta Cowboys, but we didnt see any. We popped out the other end and walked along the street until we found we were opposite the Sari Club Memorial.
It was getting hot, so our stops for drinks were numerous. Eventually we ended up in Jl Padma and found the Indo National where we stopped for a late lunch. We had a prawn dish. After that we went to the beach to look for the S&S place but to no avail, so then we looked for a rainbow umbrella, couldnt find that either.
We did see Dolphin leather and went and were measured up for coats. We stopped at Posers bar too, that was a great place. Wandering further north we stopped in at la monde and had another drink, and then further up Padma Utara we found the Puri Raja, where Dennisc was staying. We walked through the hotel and I had a look around the bodies at the pool and couldnt see you Dennisc.
We popped out onto the beach and walked up towards Zanzibar where we had another drink. By this time it was getting late afternoon so we walked through the jayakarta and back to Padma Utara, then down Rum Jungle road where we saw the places that were often written about on the BTF ye old fookin pub (not soo good afterall), yutz, barcelona barn. By this time I was tired and Martin suggested we go back to our little love nest and have a special "nap"....what a sweetie he is!!!
So far we have eaten and drunk at most places we have been told about, so now the holiday for us is about pure hedonistic pleasure and enjoyment of each other.
