Taro is a great place to see and ride elephants. It is an elephant only place. I went to the new Bali safari & Marine park in Gianyar, about 1 hour from Kuta. They have two very cute baby elephants you can hand feed and spend as much time as you like with them and elephants to ride. Also an educational elephant show. There is so much more to see here even though they say its only half open. There's also a water park to cool off in, a baby tiger you can sit with and stroke and a bus takes you round the park to view heaps of other animals not in cages. Its a great day out and I highly recomend it.
