for those who don't want to be told to search forums - I have stayed at the BGH 3 times, i find it fantastic. Its in an ideal position on the beach and next to Centro shopping centre. 5 min walk into kuta heart.
The rooms are huge. Deluxe face the gardens and the beach, the superior face the street and can be a little noisy from nightclubs across the way. Though i got to sleep when i stayed in those rooms. Stayed deluxe in 2007 May.
They are renovating and new pools put in too. The feed at the pool bar is yum as are the drinks. There is a restaurant next door which is great also a little bar out the front, great for a meeting place and happy hour.
