I've tried varios places along Poppies 1 - La Walon, Ayu Beach Inn, LA Inn, the Masa Inn and Fat Yogis. I've also seen the rooms at the Secret Garden.
Top of the list at the moment, I would recommend the brand new rooms at Fat Yogis. These are really excellent - the rooms are huge, with balconies facing the pool. They have been done out to the highest standard, with lovely big double beds with crisp fresh bedding, a huge walk-in shower, and brand new furnishings. We stayed there this summer, and I think paid about 175,000rp for a double room inc breakfast, served in the restaurant or by the pool.
Second to this, I would recommend Masa Inn. The rooms are older, but still nice. They have two pools, and have rooms with various bed options i.e. a double, two singles, a double and a single. Breakfast is included, and I think prices were 200,000rp for a double room. We stayed here for a few days this summer too.
Ayu Beach Inn and la Walon are also good options, but I would recommend checking out the room first, as there are good and bad rooms at both. Again, a similar price.
Secret Garden is a nice place to stay (their restaurant and bar are great). The rooms looked nice too, from what I remember. The only thing that personally puts me off is that everything is enclosed, and inside - the rooms have no outside balcony/terrace, but instead face an indoor courtyard. Personally I find this a bit claustrophobic and like a bit of fresh air.
