usually if its an advertised hotel in a travel agent type booklet then it is cheaper to do a package deal through the travel agent. If you book direct with an airline for your flight then book your hotel direct over the internet with the hotel it can work out cheaper if the said hotel isn't advertised as I said before with a travel agent type booklet.
