We had a free upgrade to the new wing(about 4 years ago) in a superior room. It was lovely and more modern, however we heard every door close as people returned to their rooms at night. It was a lovely room, don't get me wrong, but the noise of doors closing and toilets flushing at all hours annoyed me. The walls and doors must be made of lighter wood maybe. The balcony was great- it overlooked the "new" pool area. But we didn't spend very much time to enjoy the view as were busy being about and out taking in every moment we had , and meeting many new people and relaxing with the locals.
