Ok regarding the reactions to my posting, i feel the need to give a little reply!
My motherlanguage is NOT english, so it is sometimes difficult to explain exactly what i mean,but connecting people from all over the world sharing the same hobbys by a forum is the power of the internet.
Just try to give me a reply in German, French or Dutch language and you will know what i mean.
I did NOT try to blame the Javanese for anything (or generalize), neither did i speak about corruption.
That is all in your phantasy, gadisdesa!
(Unfortunately however it does exists on Java and Bali and in lots of other places all over the world)
And yes I've been to Java and Bali before, about 20 times each time for about 3 weeks and I do have several Javanese friends on Bali.
I do like Java and the people but Bali just a little bit more, like everbody on this forum!
And No I don't believe everything the Balinese say, like everywhere in the world there are good guys and bad guys, even on Bali!
What i did try to say in my posting is that the current travellers spend less money in Bali than the travellers in the past.
That's all.
Next week i'm in Bali again, come hop in for a drink!
