Visas is a complex area. For you:

You could live in Bali on a Social Budaya which lasts up to 6 months (60 days then 4 extensions of 30 days). Then you have to leave. You can't work.

If you are married you can apply for an Ikut Suami Kitas - 12 months, but has some rules around it. You can't work.

If you marry and live in Bali, you can apply for citizenship in 1st 12 months and receive it very easily (as compared to the usual rules). You must give up your current citizenship to get Indonesian citizenship, but it allows you to work, own property etc etc.

For him - he must apply for Australian resident visa. Speak to DIMA about that.

For more information, apply to join the Our Indonesian Men forum - support forum for women in relationships with Indonesian men. Lots of girls with experience on that forum.
