What a load of c**p was written in that post.
Just drive down Jl. Laxamana (Oberoi/Eat Street) ANY night and you will find it difficult to get into most of the Restaurants there. The same goes for any of the recognised restaurants in other areas of Bali.
The reason why the Javanese visitors don't use taxis is because they bring their OWN cars with them to Bali! Just drive along the main Esplanade in Kuta during Indonesian holiday periods and look at the Number Plates on cars parked there. You could almost play a game called "spot the DK (Bali) Plates". And...as for them using Ojek for their method of transport..........what a JOKE!!!
Ane, with respect to the Taiwanese Market, this sector has diminished greatly too, so the knowledge imparted in that post was right off the mark!
