as alike as chalk & cheese. If you have never been to Kuta you are in for a culture shock after the Hyatt. You didn't mention when you were going or your age bracket, that would make a difference. You are going from 5 star down to 3. Mind you , you will save money. I stay in both Sanur and Kuta but stay in the poolside cottages at the Ramayana, nearly opposite the BGH. If you look in the archives you will find mixed reports, many mentioning good and bad room numbers. As someone else said, many regard it as a sacred cow and will not hear a bad word about it. I haven't seen the rooms but if I usually stayed at the Hyatt (and I have seen this hotel and the rooms) I would not even consider it. Wherever you decide, have a great holiday, Cheers, Stormy
