If I only had 3 days I would book a driver, tell him your itinary and get him to quote for you for the 3 days. Places to visit are up to you then and not the places the driver thinks you should go to.
Incorporate things together.
When having dinner at night make sure there is entertainment such as the lovely Balinese dancers, sample the local food and meet some locals and have a chat. Maybe visit the night markets to taste really local food. A trip out to Ubud could take in the Zoo, wood carving, rice paddie fields and the markets.
A trip out to Uluwata to see the beaches and stop off at GKW Park to see the statues.
