them- if she is having problems. To travel through other parts of Indonesia- not Bali I used to take Larium- only one trip and never again and then I moved onto Doxycycline, of which I am now highly allergic too.
So now I travel throughout Indonesia- (5.5 months last year) and do not take any malaria tablets. As a precaution I take Malarone tablets in my luggage and would take them if I had the symptoms of malaria. ( this was discussed with doctor at Travellers Medical Centre in Sydney.
Best thing to do is cover up in evenings, use a product like Rid tropical strength through the day and at night, burn mosquito coils at night or leave a fan on in your room at night.
Other diseases are more prevalent in Bali like dengue than malaria, for which there are no tablets so best to prevent mosquito bites.
