Most tours are better arranged with a private driver.
First few times we visited Bali, we went in buses on arranged tours. We soon found that it was far better to arrange a private driver to take you to the places you wanted to visit. We found with buses, we were often 'templed' out. After a few, we were happy to have brief stops then move on. With your own private driver, you can stop for photo opportunities, anywhere. Stop to shop, if you see something of interest etc.
You can prebook a driver, as recommended, or find a driver on the streets or part of your hotel.
