loved your "bali virgins" the pictures were great . We also have some "old" shots that we peruse when we cant get back to paradise!!!!I had a strange experience when staying at the gazebo hotelduring the second night there I was awakened by the sound of gamalan music playing ,I sat up and thought the room was full of smoke but then thought it was a fine mist. I jumped out of bed while calling to my husband 'what is this white smoke , nd where is that music coming from? Then I realized that there was something in the room , very large and moving through the mist towards me, I didn't have my glasses on and the shape was blurry. As it immerged through the mist towards me I found I was looking at a huge barong with clawed feet and huge bulging eyes. I can still visualize this frightening sight ,I shook like crazy and kept saying to my husband "what is this , what is this? To which he mumbled "is it a large cockroach, or a gegko ? The're harmless. . I fell on his bed screaming and shaking and wondering why it had got so freezing cold, Had turned on the light and there was nothing tosee and the music had stopped . He had heard the music. I didn"t know anything about barongs at this time, I told one of the staff about what I had seen and he said that I was very lucky to have seen a barong , He said "you must tell the owner of this hotel. She too had seen a barong in her room at night and been very moved by it. I didn't know what to make of all this but when back in Perth I started to see this barong in my mind and to having this weird feeling that something was about to happen, The feeling got stronger and when one night my husband was going to pick up a friend I suddenly felt that this was it. Something bad was about to happen. I didn't want him to get in the car. Wouldn't let our son go with him. "he said "you will have to seek help, you're losing it. To cut to the chase, a woman ran into my hu sban's car which was wrecked and he had a broken sternu m. My visions stopped after that. Perhaps it was mushrooms in the stew. I don"t think so.
