We first visited Bali 1976 staying in Sanur which was considered a good family area.
Darwin airport back then was a tin shed, walked across the tarmac to the plane and then when landing in Denparsa we thought that the airport was great because a bus greeted you at the plane and took you across to the airport buildings. You then only had to grab your bags and clear customs.
