Great advice bali tiger. You have to pay up front with Jetstar and that is a problem for some people, but apart from that your plan would be the cheapest option. It is also a problem for first timers that they have not inspected the hotel before booking, they should rely on the forum archives to checkout opinions of the hotel they pick, before booking in.
