From 1 Dec I suggest you check the Tiger Airway specials. They were around $79 Inc tax to Darwin from MEL.
Perhaps check the Garuda packages ex Darwin.
Also Tiger goes ex Darwin to Singapore at some very good specials. you can then Jetstar to DPS. Or combine a Phuket trip on Tiger ( or other Asian/Indo Destinations) and back down to DPS with Air Asia.
Air North are flying DRW to DPS now at $495 Inc Taxes.
Bestflights website is good, but they do add a $14 charge.
I booked a SIN - DPS route cheaper even with the charges than going direct with JETSTAR.
Always check the Currency $ quoted in on websites.
