I have been advised that Indonesian carriers which had previously been flying B-737-200 Series Aircraft have been forbidden to use them to carry passengers in Indonesian-Controlled airpspace.

From recollection, the Adam Air 737 which broke in two from a heavy landing in Surabaya, was a 200 Series.

The Indonesian Government is now absolutely adamant that ALL passenger Airlines flying within Indonesia adhere to their new and extremely strict policy guidelines. This has seen many Airlines fade into oblivion virtually overnight.
