Garden price range I would suggest Masa Inn on Poppies I. We had a look at all 3 last year & the 2 rooms that we were shown at AP Inn both smelled musty, not a good sales pitch. The Secret Garden rooms are ok as it is not a very old hotel but the pool really doesn't have any room around it for lazing. Masa's rooms have fridge, aircon, TV, 2 pools and include brekky for around $AUD45 a night for a triple. All 3 hotels have websites (well they did last year when I was looking).
As for the hotels you have mentioned I would lean more towards the Barong.
