but staging just for gambling is illegal. When held in association with temple ceremonies or other religious rites it is legal and for some of these the gambling is itself an important part of the ceremony and is allowed.
No one has to attend and be offended but the practice is universal in Bali and will not be stopped by emotional comments from outside
