Hi Going to Ubud and Kuta for part of my honeymoon next month. I have all the necessary injections as have travelled in South East Asia before. My girlfriend who has never been to Asia is refusing to get the typhoid injection because her doctor told her she cannot get pregnant within six months. I spoke to my travel doctor who says this only applies if they are using a live virus vaccine. Most injections are a dead virus so the max you neeed to wait is one cycle for this to run through your system.
Does anyone know anything on the subject as would prefer her to have it but if she still refuses what is the risk her of contracting typhoid over a 4 days stay in ubud and five day stay in Kuta/seminyak ?
