I am not sure about the answer to your question re aerosols, but on our first stop shopping list, we always stock up with water for the room, flyspray, (toilet spray too) some Bintangs for the room fridge and couple of cans of mixers (to go with the duty free).
Its easy to just buy it there, or first night, ask reception to come down and give your room a spray.
