My Mum and Dad stayed there last June and loved it- they are desperate to go back as soon as they can!
I was a bit worried they would find it a little isolated ( and difficult being on the side of a hill- Dad is 80) but they tell me that the shuttle service into Ubud is great and they did the walk through the Monkey Forest a few times without problems.
Dad can be quite picky so for him to go into raptures every time you mention Balis Spirit- it must be good.
later in their stay they moved into Ubud itself and stayed at Pertiwi which suffered in comparison. Both wanted to go back to B.S.!
