We stay at Wawa Wewe II Cottages at Lipah Beach. We love it! Not posh...more like visiting family-the staff have been there for years and the cook makes fabulous fish dishes, banana pancakes and chicken soup! Email them on wawawewevillas@yahoo.com for info (they don't check email every day but will get back to you). We paid for room 2 about 300,000 to 350,000 depending on season. Room 2 and Room 1 are nearest the pool, beach and restaurant. This is our secret place for reading books and relaxing. The guys who work there will take you along the beach to snorkelling area or restaurants on the back of their motorbikes for a small fee. I just walk out into the sea along the beach about 30 yards where the fishing boats go out to do snorkelling. A special treat is waking about 6.30am and sitting outside watching the sun rise and the fishing boats return from the horizon. You can hire snorkelling gear from the restaurant. (If you do go there please say hello from Carol and Bruce). Wawa Wewe is Balinese for shooting the breeze, talking nonsense, idle chit-chat. To see some pix of the place - I have put photos of our visit there on my 2006 and 2007 albums. http://(take out)community.web(take out)shots.com/user/kiwicarol2005
