We have stayed in the Gazebo hotel for the last 4 trips, and really love its position, beachfront, and close to good shopping on the other side. It is considered a "moderate" hotel, so quite inexpensive. Rooms 206 and 205 are very nice and their new "Joglo" rooms too. Have also stayed in the Puri Santrian (many years ago now) before it was updated, and it was lovely, but at the other end of the Sanur beachfront. It was considerably more expensive, but had cottages, which is what we prefer, rather than the "hotel" experience,(such as the Hyatt or Sanur Beach Hotel) which I always feel could be anywhere in world.
