that is such a shame that has happened to you...particularly with so many first time visitors being so wary i guess stories like this do nothing to help. i am happy to say that after numerous trips to Bali I have never had anything like this happen, and have often trusted the people there in similar situations and been well looked after. Im sorry that you had this experience but please do not let it deter you from going back to Bali or trusting other people there!!
