Hardly any places have fresh or hot water on Gili T. One thing that I've learnt in Indo too is never to expect anything - the number of times I have been told there is hot water, and have had to have a cold shower!
Also, I agree that it is easy to get ill on the Gilis. I have been ill there on several occassions (despite trying to be careful). The juice is something to avoid, as sometimes they water it down. I also don't eat too much meat, and try to eat at busier places. This year, I didn't have a dodgy tummy at all.
