Family 2A & 2k returned from 10 days in Bali...WOW what beautiful weather, the same everyday...perfect...Stayed at The Patra in Club Suite (same as deluxe suite but bit more fancy)...The suite was perfect for family - we were upstairs with 2 balconies, one of lounge and bedroom, just perfect. Stayed in suite 340 which overlooked pond (heritage lounge). Normally we stay at Bali Rani or in similar location but thought we would try Patra...the seclusion did not bother us at all, if anything it made us relax and stay by pool more!! which we did...hotel offers 5 times a day shuttle or south kuta bus would come thru and we would just jump on (apparently your meant to have voucher? but we just got on!! funny!!) or hotel would call taxi which wait out front of hotel...easy easy easy!! I am a shopaholic and i was happy with quick acess to shops!!! The hotel is very resort like and postcard perfect...pool is divine with one depth all the way, we would float for hours!! pool boy Aris would put our towels down everyday for us early...buffet breakfast was very nice, location next to airport was no big concern, kids loved watching planes, noise is no differnt to staying at bali rani, dynasty etc...kids loved being taken to room via buggy, our room was only 3 min to pool and lobby...great spot...very happy...

We dined most of the time at Pantai Restaurant on the beach, my inlaws were staying with us and we would walk along beach in early evening to Pantai with torches, only took 10 min...would walk past the Bali Hai and say hello to security guards sitting in front of hotel, was still lit up, they are saying January to reopen?? Dined at Febris, Batu Waran (? next to centro) and Ilfore (opposite centro) this place was yummy and great service, sat outfront on deck, was great.
Load of shopping, went to Carrefore (huge) found great make-up compact (martha tillar) $3.50 similar to Australis or Loreal all in one compact...perfect match - foundation with spf15. Purchased copy Guess Jeans and Victoria Beckham Rock & Republic, Pink Juicy Couture Velour Tracksuit (divine!!) etc etc...
Was last to check in at Airport as right next door to hotel, was wishing they had closed flight!! Forgot liquids rule and had 2 little $5 bottles of baileys taken off us, we took lids off and tipped out!! grrr never mind puchased big one at perth airport...
This is the first trip to bali that I have not had a massage! GASP you all say!!! but I was soooo relaxed and comfy by the pool i couldnt be bothered...made and appointment and didnt go...mind you my back and shoulder are now aching typing this from not sitting properly would love one now!
