had a "Tiger" episode just recent.
1. Monday 5am up and off to Phuket Airport 8am departure to Singapore. Tiger.
2. Arrive Singapore - 10:30am approx all day room accom booked out. Except red light area. Bummer.
3. MRT & some shopping back to Budget Terminal Singapore for scheduled 8.20pm flight to Darwin on the "Tiger"
4. Plane starts to board then everyone has to get off "technical fault" no announcements. 15 min delay, 30 min delay and eventually a 2 hour delay. Plane replacement. Eventually in the air.
5. Nearly there into Darwin.. "Captain.. here. This is not our night.!!! There has been an emergency landing at Darwin Airport and the runways are closed. They expect to clear the runway, we have to .... ( can remember the term but basically circle around)for approx 45 mins."
6. At last home at 6am.
It can happen to the best of airlines.
Turns out a Air Med flight hit a KANGAROO and was re directed to Darwin Airport for an emergency landing.
