Thanks for taking noticed of my posting. Sumba Isl. is much quiter and very little tourist goes there. The beaches in Sumba are fabulous. It is not hard to get there to Sumba Isl. There are two airports located one in East Sumba, and one located in West Sumba. There are daily flights to Sumba. Best way to get there would be with Merpati F100, it is safer than the other Airline. However, Merpati flights are only 3 days a week. Best way to book a flight to there is to wait until you get to Bali than you can book your flight. There is Merpati agency in the NgurahRai/Bali's Airport. You can enjoy the simplicity of life in Sumba. As I said before, life there is very slow pace. People there are nicer, giving and friendly. Most of the Hotels in Waingapu, East Sumba are located near local market where you can buy local veggies and fruits and there are many local stores where you can buy tooth paste, shampoo or kotex or things like that. Just email me at Sumbagirl2005@yahoo.com if you need more info. Cheers. Jade
