You dont need your aussie licence at all. I just went to the police station in denpasar, paid 220,000 got my details on comp (take passport) take your photo and leave. No tests, no lessons as i have heard some people mention on here. Mine was only 6 weeks ago so was recent. had no problems at all and the officer that we had was lovely and very helpful. Your licence only lasts for I think 1 or 3 months, not sure I havnt checked. next time you go take you expired licence with you and it will only be 150,000. Get someone from your hotel to take you as not many of them speak very good english. Cheers
