And to my surprise the boss expects me to work the notice period of 1 month. Thankfully she goes on leave tomorrow night for 2 weeks.
For those that suggested taking action against her etc, this boss has been through 20 account managers in 3 years due to the way they were treated. There was also a girl who was in my role for 25+ years and after only a few months of having her for a boss she resigned due to the treatment she received. Apparently several tried to take action against her through the union and any other means and got nowhere. She has a lot of very high up people looking out for her I think, or she's sleeping with her boss (even though he is in another state). Sometimes you just have to pick your arguments and unfortunately I don't have the steam left to try and take her on which believe me is very unusual as I have taken on a previous boss you did the wrong thing (thankfully not the same situation in that case though) and won. She has been in the role for 10 years now and can't see her going anywhere fast. However I am a very strong believer of Karma and she will get whats coming.
Well pulling a sicky tomorrow anyway as it is one of our daughters birthdays and also could make the boss change her mind and ask me to leave immediately. Believe me if she does ask me to leave earlier she will be paying me as I have a copy of the dated resignation letter that I gave to her just in case.
On a positive note have already had several job leads given to me so will be starting to follow those up. Have decided to also change from fulltime to parttime as now with the Bali sponsorship project and the kids etc might be a bit more suitable I think. Just goes to show as one door closes another one opens.
Thanks for all your support, cant wait to catch up with many of you in 6 weeks time in Bali.

Some of you may even know of her as she is also the team manager for a very well known netball team.
