After three days of rain and temp around 28deg. we leave Ubud and travel on well sealed roads,to Candi Dasa inthe east of Bali(petrol 90cents a litre, cheaper to buy it from the petrol stations than from the side of the road in bottles petrol stations are being built everywhere we go.

we feel we have truly found heaven on earth.

The Watergarden Hotel in Candi Dasa,is a must for anyone coming here.
What a beautiful place, our cottage is surrounded by lush green tropical gardens.

The balcony on which I am siting (and feeding the fish)hangs over a large tranquil pond filled with the beauty of water lily leaves, flowers and large gold fish.

Food here is to die for.

IN 6 years of coming to Bali it is the best food we have had anwhere.

The sun is out,and an abundance of colourful butterflies and tiny birds dance around us.

Before leaving Sydney we tried unsuccessfully to contact by email and phone to book a trip on the Odyssey submarine.
Neither we or our agent had any sucess.
ON arrival at Candi dasa we followed the signs to there booking office and booked seats.yeah!

If anyone is interested ,the email address for the operations manager direct is Iswahyudis@hotmail.com
THe Fantasy voyage takes 45minutes and the cost is US$69adult.
Submarine dives areat 9-30am and 11-30am.lunch included.
Transfers from NUsa dua-Kuta-Ubud and now Candi Dasa.
WOW! what amazing adventure.the Odyssey submarine voyage is a short 25minutes by car to amuk bay.
THen asmiling faced man named TOyo greeted us with a welcome drink.
After showing us our lifejackets, and we removing our shoes,he then very clearly in well spoken english, explained the proceedure to follow when boardin and sitting in the submarine.
It is easy viewing all the way for the 36 people on board.
Passing over coral reefs(not as colourful as our great barrier reef),but no less fascinating.

Hundreds of tiny coloured fish put on a spectacular show, encouraged by two divers who hand fed them, providing us with a never ending procession.

Before leaving the bay, and sfter the tour the meal provided(as with the quad bike tour)was very tasty and enjoyable.

Our two night stay at Candi Dasa was long enough for us.
The submarine voyage combined with our stay at the Watergarden hotel, made this one of our most memorable experiences in Bali.
