A few weeks ago we downgraded from our Visa card as we were sick of the 18% + interest and the bank offered us Earth cards. This is with Westpac.
Now the interest rate on these are around 12% and you can still use them for FF points but not store vouchers.
Ok we thought, thats all we use them for anyway so we ordered them.
In the Sunday times this morning, they have a page advertising them (page 18) and The title is "Heading overseas?".
It goes on to say that they have a brilliant range of travel rewards including Complimentary travel insurance for trips overseas for trips less than 3 months duration.
Also No Westpac foreign currency fees on purchases and ATM Transactions whilst overseas.
We were not aware of those benefits and we probably won't use the free travel insurance but we are very happy to know there won't be fee's if we use the cards in an ATM.
The points also go straight to Qantas (of course you would need to be a member) and you don't have to wait for them to be transfered over.
Thought you may be interested as the subject is often spoken about on here.
