Day 1-8am Garuda flight from Perth 10th June was on time, staff and service great, nice breaky of either chicken noodles or fratata, with croissant, fruit, yoghurt, yum.
Got through voa, immigration and customs with no problems in about 20 mins and into waiting mini bus from the Matahari Bungalows. Hotel room was fine, king bed, fridge & tv though decor a little tired, especially the bathroom, but only $26 a night with continental breaky and pick up, so good for cost. The pool was nice and clean and great pool bar, staff too were lovely.
Went to Ketut's fixed price in Legian and ordered afl sarong dresses and other clothes. There we met Kermy (Karen) and Sunshine Bali (Tina), both lovely ladies.
1st night dinner at Double D's, just 2 buildings from hotel, lg bintang, chicken fried rice and chicken noodles, 74.000, quite tasty.
Day 2 - Quick trip tp Centro to order a pair of coloured prescription contact lens from Optic Seis, just for fun, approx 190.000rup. Could'nt resist some yummies from Bread Talk to take back to hotel.
Then on to Bali Cyber Cafe to say hi to Haaris who is helping with certain computer programs for John and also contacting one of the orphanages to see what they might need as we had donations from people to pass on to them. While we waited for him we had lunch which was very nice and cheap, bumped into Karen and Tina again there.
Indo National for dinner, guess who we met again there..yep, Karen and Tina, looked like we were stalking them, haha. Met Kerry, nice lady, we had Nasi Goreng, Mie Goreng Prawns, 2 bintang and a cocktail all great 93.000rup. Place is big and airy, staff good and very clean.
More to come !
