I am loath to compare hotels, because of the great range of preferences people have. It may be great for one, but not another. I would say you prefer beach front and a reasonable standard of hotel. "You gets what you pays for", but most of the beach front hotels at Legian are good, but more expensive than non-beach front. I agree Mandira is too expensive, as are Legian Beach, and Padma (that is for us). We used to stay every year at Puri Raja and would be still there, except when they closed we went to Melasti Beach Resort and stayed in a suite in old section. This suites us as it is reasonably cheap and there is plenty of room. MBR superior rooms are good also and cheaper. As for the other hotels I have had no personal experience of them, but Kumula Pantai seems to be well liked. I feel Jayakarta is too large and extensive for my taste, but it is also well liked by some forumites.
