Firstly i went down to centro, and there are about 4 optomitrists in the mall. Have a good look around first as some have better frames than others. I got mine at optik seis. The frames are of good designs and standards in all. If you are just wanting plain lenses they can all do them within a day some said 30 minutes if they arent frameless. Frameless especially if you want progressive or transitional all have to be faxed through to jakarta and take 5-7 days. So go with plenty of time to spare. The cost is absolutely amazing. around a third of what you would pay at home. NZ. For three pairs we saved over $1,500 NZ.

As for the construction noise. We didnt hear or see anything staying in Y Block. I believe the noisiest part to stay in would be b block near to reception, i cant believe that desi would place anyone in these rooms while construction is going on. Ring the hotel if you have any worries, she is great to deal with. The hotel is great value for money, but watch those aussies hogging the lounges. There arent many that are in sunshine all day and people who place towels on these at 7.00 am go out shopping and dont return till mid afternoon really piss me off. My only gripe.
