Hi Fransi, in april we stayed 4nts and would loved to have stayed longer as our friend took us up there and stayed with us, but his wife said 4 nts away was enough and next trip Made could stay home with the kids and she would take us on a road trip.
we went to Amed one day, Tirttaganga water palace, Amlaplura, Bali aga village, Besakih mother temple, during a once a year festival, it was amazing walking to the top (main Temple), there is a lot to see in that area.
Hence heading back in sept, but we are not sure yet how long, as we are taking 2 of our 20+ kids and their partners we will see how long we can keep them from the bright lights and instill some culture.
If your son likes the water i'm sure he wont be to bored, and there is a few of the staff's children that come and play in the pool, and on the beach out front there are all the local fishermans kids also swimming, playing soccer and all wanting to make friends, i,m sure he'll love it.
