It is the daytime mossies that give you dengue fever. I should know I got it last June in Bali. Has to be taken seriously. I spent a week in hospital. Thank goodness for travel insurance. I now cover up with mossie spray DAY and night. There are four strains of dengue fever in Bali. Incidents have increased gradually over the years especially with the local population - many of whom cannot afford hospitalisation and get seriuosly ( if not terminally ) ill. As for ALL travel use this motto traveller beware and take all reasonable precautions WHEREVER you go.
