Bali SIM cards

Hi, can someone help me with this please? I have a pre-paid Telstra mobile, can I buy a SIM in Bali, take my existing SIM out and replace it with a Bali SIM and then is the phone ready to use straight away? If this is the case, where do I buy a Bali SIM - Matahari or similar?
