This is my first time on the travel forum and I'm a bit nervous about what to say. Have read this forum many times but being a 40ish person am also a bit computer illiterate but getting better. I went to Turtle Island for the first time last time I was there, after 10 visits to Bali and dont know why I had never done it before. It was the best day out we booked it from our hotel and cost us about 10 dollars Australian. This included transfers from the hotel, travel in glass bottom boat to turtle island(which isnt far) tour of island, plus snorkelling at nusa dua with a guide. What better value for money could you ask for. The animals all seemed to be really well looked after but I guess even if their not you can only help by going there and contributing to there costs. I figure if no one goes there then they will have no money to feed the animals. So go there and give it a go, if you dont enjoy it, it hasnt cost you too much money
